Been watching avidly the news in Blighty and some poor bloody whale has been stranded in the serpentine all weekend.Unfortunately the poor beast died after a failed rescue attempt.Sources close to the rescue attempt(rubber neckers to you and me)think foul play was afoot they swear a bunch of Japanese tourists downed their cameras and started pelting the whale with bricks.bottles and anything else they could get their hands on??I only post this here because i read somewhere that these self same people have decimated the whale population in your part of the world.Sad times we live in

We have a saying in my parents homeland, basically it means.. those who talk with fork tongue dribble. die, die mit Gabelzunge Getröpfel sprechen

Interesting that you say that Mhunt. The Maori are supposed to be famous for their carving of whale bones, so I suppose the tapu is selective.

hmmmmmmm the Maori only use the bone of already dead whale I think. But with this Sealords thing they have whale blood on there hands , it is all about money , they say it is a culteral thing but when it comes to the crunch they sold out for the sake of money..go figure..

Money talks, sharks walk - old Maori saying. S'pose the old whales are dunfor as well now that they've teamed up with the Japs. For the nips its all about money an all. NZ just nicked the rugby world cup of them by dubious means yet they still do business with the 'enemy".

A family of whales were swimming in the ocean, along comes a Japanese whaling boat and harthingys the baby whale killing it out right,..ay mother whale says to father whale , we have got to do something about these killers this is the third year we have lost a baby to them...so father whale says ok I have an idea , I will swim down this side of the boat you swim down the other and I will fill myself up with as much water as I can and I will blow it out over the whalers and when they are washed over board you can pick them up and eat them....hmmmmmmmm typical says the mother whale ....you get the blow job and I get a mouth full of seamen..!!!
